Welcome Excursion
Discovering Cosenza, the City of Alaric's Legend
Dive into the Old City, with its historic center, one of the largest in southern Italy. We will explore the Cathedral and the Diocesan Museum, home to the Stauroteca, a renowned reliquary gifted to the city by Frederick II.
Next, we’ll visit Palazzo Arnone, which houses the National Gallery. Among the exhibited works are paintings by the "Caravaggist" Mattia Preti.
We will then move to the New City, where we’ll be welcomed by the stunning MAB – Bilotti Open-Air Museum. This open-air art gallery features around 40 works by artists such as Salvador Dalí, Giorgio De Chirico, Mimmo Rotella, Pietro Consagra, Amedeo Modigliani, Giacomo Manzù, and others.
