Program
Day 1 Arrive to Diamante
Once in Calabria, we are going to Diamante “city of murals and chili pepper” where we’ll be greeted by a welcome drink based on cedar, typical local product.

Day 2 Murals of Diamante and ruins of Cirella
Diamante is known as “the pearl of High Tyrrhenian” or “City of murals” because of the numerous paintings on the walls of the city. Indeed, there are over 200 works of art painted on the walls in the old town and in Cirella, a neighbor hamlet, realized since 1981 by internationally renowned painters and artists. Successively, we are going to taste dishes based on chili pepper, became in the years the symbol of the town, celebrated every year, since 1992, with an event called “Diamante Peperoncino Festival”. a professional guide will lead us to discover this delightful seaside resort, which we can continue in the afternoon independently. In the evening, we will have dinner in a typical restaurant of the village.

Day 3 Ruins of Cirella and Santa Maria del Cedro
After breakfast, we are going to visit the ruins of Cirella’s old town destroyed by Hannibal at first, and then by the Saracens, the captain Barbarossa (RedBeard), and finally by the French empire in 1806. In the archeologic area of Cirella is also possible to see a Roman mausoleum. In the evening, we will have dinner in a typical restaurant of the village. Next we will go to discover one of the most characteristics products of the area: the cedar. A traditional citrus of the High Tyrrhenian area, particularly abundant Riviera of Cedars of which Diamante is the hub. The most of the dishes in this area derives by cedar: desserts, ice creams, granites or typical liquors obtained by its cortex infusion. Later, we are going to move to Santa Maria del Cedro, another beautiful village in the Northern Tyrrhenian, house of the Cedar museum where we’ll taste some dishes previously mentioned. In early afternoon we’ll return to Diamante.

Day 4 ‘Arcomagno’ of San Nicola Arcella and the village of Aieta
In the attractive San Nicola Arcella, we are going to discover the clear blue sea who surrounds the Dino’s island and got channels through the Arco Magno (Magnus Arc), a beautiful beach accessible only by boat. After that, we’ll return to Diamante for free afternoon.
